Blessing Day

March 4th was Michelle's blessing day and it was wonderful. It was nice to have so much family be able to come and be there with us. Joe's parents and his brother Benny's family were all there as well as two of his cousins and their families. My parents and my cousin Lauren came up from Salt Lake and my sister came from Wisconsin. We had quite the group it was fun.

The biggest challenge was that we have 9 am church but by some miracle everyone made it in time for the blessing. Michelle's ensemble involved 5 generations of women. She wore the blessing dress that my mom bought and used with me. The blanket my Grandma Cole made. and I made her booties with yarn that was from my great-grandma Cole, and of course Michelle was wearing it all!

Joe gave her a beautiful blessing and the spirit was strong. A deacon that was holding the microphone for the blessing even bore his testimony about how he felt the spirit and that she was going to have a great life. After Sacrament mtg we took some pictures of the whole group and we went to our apartment for a little luncheon. Then after everyone left we took a bunch more pictures.

Life

Well, We got brave and took Michelle to church today. We figured that since she will be one month tomorrow (a fact I am not too happy about) and there has not really been much sickness in our area lately we could do it. Our plan was to go to sacrament mtg and then see from there. We got everyone fed and dressed and out the door and made it to 9am church on time. During sacrament mtg our perfect baby who never even spits up completely emptied her stomach onto her dress (and did mom remember to check if we had an extra outfit? nope.) Then a few minutes later our perfect baby who pretty much never cries very loud decided to test out her lungs. Needless to say we only made it through sacrament mtg but hey, we went!

Other stuff:
Wednesday night we gave her a bath (not her first at home obviously) but we took some pics because she is just so cute (ahhhh, naked baby!!! hee hee)

Michelle had her first bottle on
Thursday (Feb. 16) so Joe finally got to feed her. Thankfully she took it no problems- I'm liking that knowledge in case I have to leave her with a bottle some time.

Four Weeks

Feb. 17th Four weeks old

We had an appointment on Monday and she weighed 8lbs 14oz (yeah, my girl can eat) and measured 20 3/4 in.

Valentines Day

Joe was sweet and got me flowers and a card for Valentines Day (daisies and roses, good boy). He also got us dinner so I didn't have to worry about it at all.

Michelle and Joe have secret conversations a lot so this must be the result of one of those =)

This was Michelle's v-day outfit just for daddy =)

( i don't know why blogger keeps turning my pictures.... just turn your laptop)
